The snow has arrived in Mid Wales, transforming our rolling greens and the surrounding Llanrhystud hills into a literal winter wonderland. While the golf clubs might be taking a brief rest while the fairways are white, there is no better time to experience the ‘cosy’ side of Penrhos Park.

There is something truly magical about watching the snowfall over the park from the warmth of our bar and restaurant. Whether you are a local resident looking to escape the slush or a guest staying in our hotel, lodges, log cabins or holiday homes, here is how to make the most of the snow this week:

Warm Up from the Inside Out Our kitchen is serving up hearty, seasonal favourites. There’s nothing quite like a hot coffee or a glass of red while looking out at the frost-covered landscape.

The Ultimate Contrast Experience the best of both worlds by heading to our leisure facilities. There is a unique kind of peace found in swimming in our heated pool or relaxing in the sauna while watching the snow fall outside the windows.

The Magic of the Quiet Season Beyond the activities, there is a rare and beautiful silence that comes with a heavy snowfall at Penrhos. As the Welsh landscape slows down, it offers our guests a unique opportunity to unplug and truly reconnect. There is something deeply restorative about watching the birds amongst the frosted trees from the comfort of a luxury log cabin or seeing the sunset reflect off the white fairways. It isn’t just a change in weather; it’s a change in pace. If you’ve been looking for a reason to escape the noise of everyday life, the ‘quiet season’ at Penrhos is exactly where you need to be.

Capture the Moment The views with a dusting of snow are breathtaking. If you’re out for a crisp winter walk, don’t forget to tag us in your photos!

Stay Safe We advise all our members, visitors and guests to take extra care on the roads leading to the park. The views are worth the journey, but please drive safely!
