Even if trekking along in hiking boots is not your thing, the walk can help to lighten your mood and really allows you to separate yourself from your normal day-to-day. You could even bring along a bird spotting book to entertain yourself with something new. If you have children, they will love trying to spot the rare birds that you can often see going about their daily lives in their home; the rural, rolling Welsh countryside.
When you are walking on the path, you don’t really have to head anywhere. You can just put one foot in front of the other and stop at a place, or a space, that seems right for you. Whether that be a patch of grass in the dense woodland, surrounded by centuries-old trees and wildlife that has been untouched, or on a bench facing the calming yet enigmatic sea that laps onto to the West Wales coast, you can take time for yourself at any point.
